What is the 'share' of the CSA movement's contribution to international and local food systems and policies?

'Coming Back Home': France is the cradle of the Amap movement in France, but also of similar initiatives. The French Amap network, Miramap, is one of the largest CSA movements in the world. It has played a major role in the development of the international network URGENCI and in the new surge of CSA initiatives in Europe since the early 2000s. The Pre-Conference organizers will mobilise the local CSA groups.

Expected Outcomes:
  • Explore the new frontiers of CSA, especially Community Supported Fisheries and cultivated biodiversity
  • Use discussions on the ongoing census on Community Supported Fisheries to build new contacts and working relationships
  • Continue to strengthen the IFOAM and URGENCI partnership
  • A list of actions for CSA advocates to take home – this list will be based on experience gained and contain actions to develop CSA capacity building programs
  • Post-event online dissemination effort via social media and URGENCI website articles
  • Presentation of pre-conference outcomes at the Organic World Congress
Format:

Opening plenary session, presentation of census results, poster gallery, additional presentations and small group discussions, collective brainstorming, closing speech
