In light of recent developments around covid-19, the organizing committee has decided to postpone the Organic World Congress to September 8-10, 2021 (pre-conferences to take place September 6 and 7). We are grateful for the unwavering support from our international, national and local partners and are confident that this is the right decision for all involved.
We will adjust our messages to build on the heightened public awareness of the need for a paradigm shift: Questions around resilience, societal transformation, ecosystem regeneration, health and food sovereignty are more important than ever and we will address these under the event’s tagline - ‘From its roots, organic inspires life.’ Our ambition remains to offer a truly global and diverse space that inspires positive change through knowledge exchange, learning and the formulation of sustainable solutions, for a better tomorrow for all.
If you are a speaker, contributor, pre-conference organiser, sponsor, or if you have already registered to attend the event, we will shortly be in touch to clarify what the postponement means for you. The event website will continue being the central place for updates on the event and information on registration, reimbursement, program etc. will be published in due course. Pre-conferences will take place on September 6 and 7, 2021. The World Congress will take place from September 8 to 10, 2021.
At this stage we cannot share more details about the program as we are in the process of contacting every individual who has submitted a contribution for the OWC 2020 to confirm their availability to join us in 2021. From this first assessment we will then be able to start putting the program together again. All updates will be published on this website as they become available.
Yes. Tickets bought for the event in 2020 will be valid for the Organic World Congress 2021. In the coming weeks we will be in touch with registered participants with information on how purchased tickets will be updated to reflect the new dates.

You will have the possibility to request an invitation letter through the registration process.
A customized invitation letter for visa purposes is only available for delegates with a confirmed registration that has been paid in full. The letter is intended to help delegates raise travel funds or obtain a visa but does not imply the OWC 2021 organizers will provide financial support.
In case of a visa request rejection, the OWC 2021 organizers will refund the full registration fee only upon receipt of the official refusal document from the Embassy. You can claim for a refund until the 20th of September 2021. After this date, no refund will be possible.

We urge all delegates to keep in mind that a visa application may take some time to be processed and should, therefore, be initiated early enough to ensure it is accepted before the Congress begins. We invite you to check with your local embassy regarding what sort of documents are necessary, as this may differ between delegates from the same country.
If you have received a confirmation that your paper/contribution has been accepted for the OWC 2020, your submission is still valid for 2021. We are in the process of contacting authors about their submissions. They are requested to fill out a questionnaire to indicate whether they want to keep their submission, withdraw it, update and resubmit it, - or whether they do not know yet.
Certain authors have not yet been contacted about their submissions. This mostly applies to authors who had been asked to incorporate feedback and resubmit their work. As with the authors whose submissions have already been accepted, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire to indicate whether you want to keep your submission, withdraw it, update and resubmit it, - or whether you do not know yet.
We are in the process of contacting each sponsor individually. We will try and accommodate their specific needs and identify whether/ how we can continue our planned collaboration in 2021.
