Objectives:
  • Identify the different levers and obstacles for developing organic farming at a regional & European level
  • Analyze the evolution of the European Common Agriculture Policy
Expected Outcomes:
  • Exchange on the future CAP and priorities at the regional level
  • Provide a clearer picture of the involvement of regional authorities and stakeholders in defining the CAP interventions within their strategic plans and on requirements to make sure that local needs are taken into account
  • Have a better understanding of the priorities of different regions across Europe
  • Identify the strategies in place and how to achieve them by making the best use of the new European policy framework

  • Introduction by Brittany’s President: perspectives for the development of organic farming in Brittany
  • Short presentations by EU Commission / EU Parliament / IFOAM EU representatives
  • Panel discussion with the FrenchMinistry of Agriculture, Region Bretagne, IFOAM OE, EU Parliament
