Naturland at the Organic World Congress in Taiwan

Our first workshop, “Growing Smarter: Empowering Organic,” addresses a crucial issue facing the organic sector: staying relevant in a landscape filled with competing narratives and short-term solutions. Recognizing that knowledge is power, this workshop will emphasize capacity building as a key strategy. By establishing a strong global network of organic farmers, practitioners, and supporters equipped with essential knowledge, we can ensure the organic sector remains vital. Esteemed speakers from capacity development sectors will share valuable insights, and participants will engage in interactive exercises designed to identify opportunities and solutions that align with our common objectives.
The second workshop, “Improving Group Certification and ICS Compliance,” delves into the nuances of EU Regulation 2018/848, particularly focusing on the requirements for group certification through Internal Control Systems (ICS). This session will assess the regulation’s current and future impacts on the organic sector, exploring strategies to enhance ICS practices beyond merely meeting governmental standards. It will directly address the financial and administrative hurdles small-scale farmers, particularly in low and middle-income countries, face in achieving organic certification. By promoting group certification through ICS, this workshop aims to facilitate greater market access while maintaining high-quality organic product standards. With the upcoming enforcement of new EU regulations by the end of 2025, understanding these changes is crucial for ensuring market access and fostering the growth of organic farming in the Global South.
In addition to these workshops, Naturland is at the forefront of innovations in Organic Aquaculture.
