There are 4 fields in total, which are conventional fields. One of the conventional fields was converted to natural farming methods without an adaptation period. One of the fields was converted to natural farming methods with self-made liquid fertilizer. A 1.25 acres KKF farming method paddy farm was not applied with any fertilizer for 6 years. On the 1st of December 2024, Comparing growth status, pests and diseases, and yield comparison.
- Presenting the results of Yilan’s self-sufficient farmer MS. Baoyu Wu, growing rice and vegetables. She uses her own paddy straws and kitchen waste, as well as remaining vegetable leaves and pulled weeds from the farm as compost and liquid fertilizer. There is no need to purchase any fertilizer from outside throughout the year. The middle-aged female farmer cultivates about 2 acres of rice, black rice and vegetables by herself. She produces and sells her own products, and her income is enough to support her living. Achieve zero agricultural waste and sustainable agriculture goals.
- Cultivating diverse microbes from a handful of humus soil on the mountain to activate the soil. They can form a granular structure at the roots, create soil ecological diversity, help crop growth, and purify fish ponds, reservoirs, and ecological ponds, and utilize diverse microbes decompose excess nutrients and excrement in the ponds, achieving the goal of purification. Restoring the original ecological environment of the earth.
- Visting Taoyuan HePing Wetland/Mr. SiShu Ye, the wetland is an ecological conservation and restoration base for more than 200 aquatic animals and plants, as well as multi-year ecological habitat creation, promoting environmental education courses for students, parent-child activities, planting KKF natural farming rice and vegetables, and promoting Sustainable life development.
- Showcase the Yunlin YiFengSing Initiative Pig Farm/Mr. Hongwei Su, which uses anaerobic fermentation septic tanks to convert pig dung into zero-emission, zero-pollution, and zero-waste fertilizers for conversion and reuse. In addition, self-supporting KKF polymicrobial bacteria are added to break down organic matters and excess nutrients into smaller pieces for easier absorption, allowing all crops to uptake and transform nutrients and enhance disease resistance. As well as successful cases of biogas green energy conversion and supply of heating lamps. Reducing both the pollution caused by excrement emissions, and carbon emissions, and achieving the goals of the environmental sustainability.
- Yilan Toucheng Ecological Leisture Farm introducing circular agriculture, which includes three categories: food cycle, forestry cycle and ecological cycle. Sharing experiences and communicating with local organic and friendly farmers in Yilan. Taking a tour at the forest dining table and ecological tour, and enjoy a green kitchen for dinner, with food provided by local organic small farmers. The farm has a Green Kitchen in the food cycle, a Green Bar in the ecological cycle, and a must-visit to the Satoyama Creation Base in the forestry cycle.
- On-site demonstrations on cultivating diverse microbes from a handful of humus soil on the mountain to activate the soil, promote root reproduction, and purify the ecological pool. They also demonstrated mixed waste fruits and vegetables, bean dregs, fish offal, egg shells, snails, banana flowers, egg, milk to liquid fertilizer, natural growth hormones and compost that have been made for 30 days.
