Cluster Development and Participation Practices in the Organic Industry

Introduction

Workshops are independently organised one or more sessions during the Organic World Congress. Workshops allow researchers, farmers, experts and students to meet face-to-face and have interactive discussions.

Workshops address various topics by extending the content of the 4 Tracks through case studies and group discussion.

Main Topics
  • Overview of Organic Agriculture Development: Provide a brief overview of organic agriculture development in Taiwan, highlighting key sites and characteristics. Discuss future directions for promoting organic agriculture in the region.
  • Experience Sharing: Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders in the organic agriculture sector by sharing experiences and fostering cohesion.
  • Promoting Cross‐Sector Collaboration: Encourage cooperation and communication among stakeholders in the organic industry, integrating diverse roles to support local Development and enhancing industry effectiveness.
  • Policy Promotion and Implementation: Discuss strategies for promoting the Organic Agriculture Promotion Act. Analyze available resources and challenges,and develop effective promotion strategies.

This workshop will provide an overview of the current status of clustered development in Taiwan’s organic industry, featuring case studies of unique organic villages and settlements. It will also discuss the relevant policies and operational status of organic agriculture promotion zones. This workshop will bring together domestic and international experts to explore key topics such as community engagement, local marketing strategies, educational outreach, and policy support within organic settlements. We will examine the challenges facing the development of Taiwan’s organic agricultural industry and discuss the potential contributions of community residents, youth, and local businesses to local organic industry growth. By analyzing various implementation experiences, the workshop aims to provide insights for future policy formulation and promotion strategies.
