Introduction

Workshops are independently organised one or more sessions during the Organic World Congress. Workshops allow researchers, farmers, experts and students to meet face-to-face and have interactive discussions.

Workshops address various topics by extending the content of the 4 Tracks through case studies and group discussion.

  • Introduction to regenerative agriculture and its relevance to mountain farming.
  • Challenges faced by mountain agriculture, including soil degradation, biodiversity loss, and climate change.
  •  Agroecological solutions, with case studies demonstrating success in mountain regions.
  • Role of indigenous knowledge and community involvement in sustainable agriculture.
  • Climate change resilience through agroecological approaches.
  • Policy frameworks and supportive measures for promoting sustainable farming in mountain regions.

This workshop aims to highlight the role of regenerative agriculture in addressing the unique challenges faced by mountain regions in achieving sustainable food systems. With a focus on agroecology and mountain agriculture, the event explores innovative solutions to issues such as soil, water, and biodiversity degradation. Case studies will be presented to illustrate the benefits of regenerative agroecological approaches. The workshop contributes to the broader discourse on organic farming by emphasizing local knowledge, biodiversity conservation, and community empowerment in building resilient food systems in challenging terrains.

  1. The participants experience the farm integrated humans, animals, plants in Taiwan.
  2. The participants enjoy an intellectual journey. You can realize local culture including diverse of the languages, people, climate, ecology, food and society. Meanwhile, you can enjoy an authentic organic meal.

The workshop targets a diverse audience, including farmers, agricultural practitioners,policymakers, researchers, I/NGOs, and community members involved in mountainagriculture.
